With lots of new lines and shoes being launched and refined here's the first of what a few early reviews say about shoes soon turning up in Velorunner in spring 2024.
Runners World has the Brooks Hyperion Elite 4 as one of the shoes to look out for in 2024, Here is a quick overview of what we think is one of the most exciting but understated shoes in our 2024 line up.
The shoe worn by Des Linden in Chicago and Josh Kerr at NYC’s Fifth Avenue Mile— with a winning time of 3:48 — is coming out two days before the Olympic Marathon Trials in Orlando, Florida. The Hyperion Elite 4 features new DNA Flash v2 foam and a new Speedvault+ carbon fibre plate with cutouts to reduce weight (the plate is partially exposed underneath the shoe).
Unlike other " super shoes" it offers a stable platform which would suit not only the Elite but the more normal 3-hour plus marathon runner, I should know (Peter) as I ran the Leeds Rob Burrows Marathon in it during 2023 in plus four hours and lived the shoe if not the hills.
